  ’07, ‘08’ 09 Seven of Hearts Reserve vertical. Decanted 2 hours and consumed over 7 hours. All 3 showed at their best between hours 4 – 7. Dramatic differences between the ’07 and ’08. Whereas the ’08 was a perfect 50/50 blend of fruit and earthiness, the ’07 style was much more of a terrior-driven style; more like 80/20 attic dust to distant black raspberry. The ’09 seems to be in a dumb phase; was closed up all night and nothing much going on. Lesson learned: the Reserve needs 4-5 years bottle time.
  
  All vintages were light bodied and tart; the ’07 was the most acidic of the bunch, and probably should be enjoyed with heavy food to round out the edges.
  The ’07 is in its peak right now and will likely maintain in this shallow window until 2015 before the fruit starts drying out. 89 points on its own, 91 points with food; 90 pts total
