(Ravenswood Zen of Zin) #3; COLOR-dark; NOSE-a burnt rubber component; chalk; a damp cave component; some toffee and espresso bean action; solid nose; PALATE-medium bodied; doesn't overly excite me; but nice blackberry candy action; picking up subtle tobacco; beef jerky meets tobacco meets black cherry; pretty decent for $11 bones; a little vanilla on the back-end; ranks better than many entry level $8-$12 Zins on the market; great with BBQ ribs; GV-86+

A bit rough on the nose, but otherwise nice.

A nose of black cherry and spice, dark purple in color. A easy drinking Zin, black cherry, plum, some vanilla and toast, a very good QPR.

Light, but expected. Not bad. Juicy and easy to drink. Simple but good quaff.
