Had minimal expectations for this rather bizarre blend of Piedmont and Tuscan varietals (45.5% Sangiovese, 45.5% Barbera, 9% Nebbiolo). Didn't make notes last night, but it was ruby in colour, with a lovely nose and rather complex medium-full bodied palate. Healthy tannins at the end, but they weren't too intrusive. Interesting wine that would be even better with food. Will last for a while yet, I suspect, and improve (B+/A-).

second time around for this one - and it exceeded expectations - opened up after 30 minutes and was just a joy - lots of fruit, a complex structure, balanced tannins and a long finish

decanted for 2 hours and while still very young and with plenty of future potential it had loads of fruit and was also a great match for roast belly pork. the tannins were quite balanced and there was loads of length to enjoy as well - a very good wine

Strong on the nose, dry & full bodied. Needs to decante for at least 2 hrs. Tanin quite prominent, acidic. Disappointing for the potential
