  • Nice deep raspberry with a slightly coral tint to it. Nose is quite crisp and dry, rather like a white; some citrus and mineral notes, with a bit of light cherry and peach.

Very smooth on the palate; velvety! Amazing rich mouthfeel and body; luscious. Tart wild strawberries and ripe raspberries with a bit of mandarin and white pear; juicy, deep fruits without being too sweet or fruit-bomby - just great fruit. This tastes like it has *no* alcohol in it at all - that's how smooth it is. It reminds me quite a bit of Minute Maid Berry Punch, which I love, but more complex - though it's still a fairly simple wine. Lots of bright citrus; zesty lemon and lime peel on the finish with some wet stone and chalk, too. This goes down amazingly.

FYI, I decanted this for 2 days in my fridge. It was sour/harsh and I thought maybe even corked when I first opened it, but this has totally blossomed into an incredibly and dangerously enjoyable quaffer. For pure enjoyment it's in the 90s, but for actual structure and style it's more like mid 80s, so I'd give this 89+.
