Very good Nero di Troia indeed. Wow, I was hoping against hope, but this really delivered. Still loads of freshness and the type of elegance that comes to really well grown/made wines. Cool, medium-bodied, earthy, bright red fruits, etc. The ringer of the night that was up to the task. Loved it and I see no reason to wait. 13,5% abv. Based on this example, it's highly recommended
Nice bottle, went well with roasted chicken and pasta fettuccini at Pizza Bella in San Diego. No real signs or age but fully resolved. No point in waiting any longer. Nose did develop over the hour we consumed it. Medium to full bodied, medium long after taste. Nothing to rave about but a very nice example of the genre. Wish I had more but this was a singleton. Not sure where I got it or how long it's been in the cellar, years probably.

PnP - Nose of grape freeze pops and motor oil. No finish with copper aftertaste.
With some air time, everything smoothed out and I started to taste some of the saltiness that reminds me of Sangiovese. Still some tannins left. Would recommend an hour decant to avoid that metallic aftertaste I initially experienced.
No clue what to pair this with.....fine for drinking on its own.

Very nice. Balanced fruit and tannins. Not a long finish.
