  • This bottle was drinking very nicely. Lovely nose of cool red fruit, mineral and tangy in the mouth, long finish. The structure is there but I didn’t get the sense it was a long distance runner. Holders should keep an eye on their stock IMHO

  • No score on this one. Not obviously flawed but hopefully an off bottle. Some nice high toned fruit but the acidity verged on acrid. Looking forward to an improvement in the next one

  • A lovely wine ... the new Faiveley meets the approachable 2007 vintage. A gorgeous high-toned, dark floral bouquet with black berries, red and black cherries and a touch of black spices. In the mouth, a leaner Chambolle expression of cherries, blackberries, plums and spice. Very silky, refined and suave. Fine grained tannins well integrated. Sufficient concentration with some flinty minerals on the finish. In its drinking window now. I only wish that I had more ...

  • Wine served blind to friends at a lunch, with the balance finished the next evening with dinner. Deep red in colour. An intoxicating nose of ripe black and red fruit: blackberries, black cherries and red currant. Also, some spice and florals with mushroom, forest floor and some damp earth aromas. Silky on the palate. Medium weight only but good depth, concentration and power. Smooth, fine grained tannins and well integrated oak and acids. Juicy with good intensity and flavours of raspberry, blackberry and spice. Nicely nuanced, quite complex, with some attractive minerality. Sappy with good structure and a long, savoury, mushroomy finish. Consistent notes on the second evening. Open for business now but sufficient dry extract to develop well over the medium term. 93.
