Popped and poured. Darker ruby hue. Compact nose of musky plum and dark raspberry cut with lilac and earth. Bigger, richer wine than the usual Chambolle, nonetheless intriguing for its lushly-presented primary blueberry and black raspberry flavors complicated by iron filings and layering out with great persistence on the palate. Ample acidity and serious tannins subsumed by primary fruit. Long finish of blue fruit and earthy mineral notes. First experience with a Le Moine wine - quite delicious and likely to age well.
