  • Opened at 4pm for dinner drinking, some initial funk which blew away. This was chilled and then allowed to warm to room temperature. This just got better and better with air. Layers upon layers unfolded. Apricots, burnt pineapples, in a oily and dense texture. Certainly one of the best if not the best Corton Charlemagne I ve had. As long as you enjoy this big oily style of wine. Lucky I have another bottle!

  • Delicious as it opened up some white pepper milling spice. Great mouth feel.

  • Roumier Bonnes Mares vertical (67 Pall Mall London): Decanted for 2 hours. The wine had a nice oily texture, very unctuous in the glass. A lot there on the nose and kept changing - meyer lemon, chalk, touch of smoke, positively fat on nose and palate. Good point of maturity but can go for 10-15 years and develop more. A treat to have this unicorn wine. (Surprising) contender of WOTN for me actually.

  • Roumier Corton-Charlemagne 2007.
Ganske stum på nese ved åpning.
Litt stresset nå - var ikke billig.
Så kommer den seg sakte, men sikkert.
Blir aldri intens, men stadig nye subtile toner dukker opp hver gang man stikker grevet ned i glasset.
Denne mister aldri trøkket i kurven.
    Klokkeklar eleganse.
Meget lang finish med superb mineralitet.
    Helt strålende. 95-96p
