When you play the Winebid ‘lottery’ you win some and you lose some. I have had good luck with picking up some of these older Cali wines that CT says are past their prime but still going strong for my palate. Not this one!!! Very sour cherry, almost drinkable but not enjoyable. Not many tertiary flavors as I would expect in an older Syrah (have had some 2005 Lewis Syrah which was excellent). The flavors were still fairly intense, but too much sourness and not enough complexity to enjoy.
