Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of herbs du Provence and white pepper. Flavors of raspberries lined with a pinch of dried herbs. Tart acidity, medium to firm tannin, full bodied. Drink over the short term.

This would have benefited with decanting, but as it is, it still was very good. Dark brick red in color with amber edges. Initially tight but eventually revealed a pleasant nose of cedar, black cherry and pipe tobacco. None of the vegetal aromas often found in Cab Francs. Vibrant flavors of plum and cherry with a harmonious acidic balance, if not a little tightly knit. Firm tannins that smooth out a bit after some time in the glass, but it suggests that a few more years wouldn't hurt this vintage. Paired nicely with a ribeye steak and sautéed mushrooms.

Awesome wine, one of the best Cab Franc I have tested only bested by the 2007 Sheridan Cab Franc. This version is a little more earth, tannin and chalky finish. Great wine.

Plentiful black cherry aromas and flavors, lots of depth, long finish, supple tannins, well made. A new world style of Cabernet Franc, lots of oak influence. Tasted in Seattle's Pike's Market at La Buona wine shop.

Two of my four were past their prime. So disappointed that I did not catch up with them earlier. Truly one of my favorite Washington wines!
