    A little tight on the nose, some metallic coming thru, some floral, and some fruit - maybe it's my allergies. Taste - fruit, tannins, some smoke, a bit of pepper; mid palate get nice burst of fruit, finish is a little hot. (14.5%) Silky, a bit off balance for me. Not bad, will go nicely with broiled steak. As it's opening up, I'm liking it more.

    This type of wine is usually a fave, but the last one I had was a 2006 vintage, which might matter.
