39th Annual Zinfandel Retrospective - the 2012s (R&D's): Unlike the Sineann, this has held up very well. Very slight bricking. Note so raspberry, pepper and red plum. Black raspberry and white pepper on the palate. Briary, brambly fruit lingers on the finish. Wonderful.

Dark cherry color. Rich nose. Figs, black pepper, ripe cherries. Soft tannins. Very true to varietal. Ready to drink now but does need to breathe 15 minutes or so after decanting. Minimal sediment.

A dark inky color in the glass. Cherries on the nose as well as on the palate; very well structured; dark fruit; high cocoa count dark chocolate mixed with cherries; this is a BIG wine that is delicious and totally attacks the palate, but with great structure that helps hide the high alcohol content.

(Seghesio Rockpile Zinfandel) #1; COLOR-dark; NOSE-pretty; nice pure cherry (like fresh squeezed cherry juice); also a dark inky component; PALATE-very serious wine; It's so thick and viscous, I feel like I'm eating this wine; very sour cherries which I like; very well structured; dark fruit; high cocoa count dark chocolate mixed with cherries; this is a BIG boy; delicious; this totally attacks the palate, but great structure; 15.6% alcohol, but it is contained by the tannin structure and backbone; extremely well made; a big wine; a fruit bomb for sure; pretty raspberry cheesecake action; very tasty; WS-92; GV-91+

Beautiful dark red. This has smoothed out nicely over time. Delicious cherry and dark chocolate. Went well with turkey dinner.
