Just the knockout type wine a doctor could reasonably order for week 3 of coronavirus isolation... Perhaps past its peak but still pairing well with BBQ ribs. The alcohol hits fast but takes the edge off the evening news. This wine provides a different perspective on the Evangelho vineyard than I'm used to. I walked the vines in 1997 flagging the different varieties pre-harvest, then helped process the Mourvedre for Jade Mountain. In any case, this wine seems much different due to both ripeness and the Carignane. But still dusts off fond memories of beautiful old vines in hot baking sand, out behind the parking lot of some big box store.

Think others who tasted drank too soon as this wine has aged beautifully, showing great balance despite the high alcohol level. All the baby fat has been shed. Yet another great Chris Ringland wine. At peak but can drink over next 3 years

Jammy, fruit bomb with way too much alcohol. 16.5%? I can't tell if I actually like it, or if I am too trashed to know any better. And this after one glass. Took me 20 minutes to get the hard wax off the top. Now I'm just being nit picky. Just not for me but Aussie shiraz lovers may really like this

Stored perfectly. Cork just crumbled anyway.
Wine had this really bad metallic taste on the back end. Undrinkable.
