Truly a Susan Boyle moment - a great surprise. An alluring, mature robe and nose of earth, tobacco, leather, dark fruits and just the right amount of barnyard. Vibrant raspberries on the palate with roasted game and underbrush. Complex and of good concentration. Very well balanced and far more concentrated (though in an appropriate, not in an uncouth, rough way) than most Burgundies I've tasted in the past. Bravo! Really a wonderful wine.
