  Restrained, cool entry of graphite and bell pepper with a burst of pleasure-giving ripe fruit through the midpalate. Lovely take on BDX blend - silky, fresh and perfectly resolved.

  Chocolate, tobacco, smoke dried black fruits and herbs on the nose.
  
  The palate is initially lighter/leaner, herbal/vegetal and a touch tart with balanced structure...a great compliment to meat dishes but otherwise unremarkable on its own. By day 2 the palate puts on weight, adds sweetness and depth, and becomes quite compelling with or without food. Acid is medium plus. Tannins are still present but very integrated to the point that they enhance rather than detract from the enjoyment of this wine.
  
  The finish lacks length and complexity of a great wine. However. At the $30 price point I don’t have any complaints. This wine held up well for 4 days being stored at cellar temperature. The wine has entered its peak but there is no rush to drink this.

  An initial nose of inky bumbleberry and plum gives way to a lighter bodied yet racy italian Cab blend.
  
  Within the hour, the acidity drops off and soft, subtle tannins emerge bringing notes of cigar box, leather, and uncharacteristic savoury Italian herbs.
  
  On the second da it's developed further, rounding out the finish and seemingly drinking a tad heavier.
  
  Overall, really enjoyed this from start to finish. Wished I had a second bottle as I'd like to see how it develops over the next year - it surely has the legs to go a bit longer but absolutely nothing wrong with it now.
