Prior note on point with the aromas and flavors. Enjoyed after a 30 minute decant - it was already at room temp when opened. Nose wide open. Rich on the palate. Remaining bottle will be drunk within this or next year.

Decanted for one hour. Nose of blackberry, currant, mocha, cedar and spice. Ripe black fruit, mocha, cedar, spice and fine tannins on the palate. Layered, lingering finish. Full bodied. Served with a reverse seared, hickory smoked Tri tip and a whisky, peppercorn, cream sauce.

First night very nice but still somewhat closed, capped and returned to cellar. Two nights later, it developed really nice layering, well balanced and integrated nose and palate , sturdy soft tannin supporting full body fruit with a touch of acidic raspberry in the upper range. Overall well rounded and very enjoyable.

Decanted for one hour prior to pouring. Very deep dark garnet red color. The nose is expressive with layers of chocolate, coffee, toast, loam, pencil shavings and mint. Wonderful layers of currant, mocha, bing cherries, blueberries, coffee, ripe figs and toast. Tannins are soft and balanced with great acidity which leads me to think there is another 2-3 years of cellar time for remaking bottles.

If you have the luxury of enjoying over 3-4 hrs that's great, otherwise recommend 15-30min decant.
