Winefool Going Away Party and Cellar Depletion (Jack's Bistro - Chicago IL): Tasted 2 days ago, note from memory. The rare 1996 that is well balanced at this point. Maybe more mature than ideal for this level, this vintage, but a fine combination of mature black/red cherry, earth, braised beef, and savory spice. No further upside.

Day 1– red currant and white flowers with a roasted mushroom quality. really nice acid still and very long even if a touch subtle on the finish. loads of complexity Day 2- much more ripe strawberry with a blood like character but in a good way. a little more oak presence but nice lilac aroma as per MFC. still very alive
