The best Syrah I ever tasted, nose of black berry, roasted coffee must, allspice, spring flowers, saddle leather, and a touch of barnyard and cinnamon, same on the palate, better the second night than the first suggests it will improve over the next two years, big body, very easy to sip and savor, delicious now, mouth filling fruit, and a long, long flavorful finish and aftertaste.

Dark purple hue. Nose of dark berry, white pepper. Very mellow, velvety, delicious, deep dark berry, long finish, with or with out food wine. Terrific bottle. Yummy!

Decanted for an hour, reticent nose, full bodied with pinotesque funk and a tad too much acidity for my palate. Tannins were there but not enough to save the day.

Luscious Syrah fruit. Dark and brooding with nice balance. This wine is a bad ass. Blueberry, black cherry with a touch of funk and earth. Good match with burgers and Italian sausage on the grill.

Hate to clog up reviews with multiple from me, but after reading my previous review, recognized I could not have had two different bottles. Tonight's bottle was dark berries cut with a spicy acidity that was awesome and took away any of the beefy character I noted in the first bottle. This bottle is a year or two of integration (it still runs a bit hot) away from potentially being one of the better Cali syrahs that I've had, not that this bottle isn't really close.
