Dark, blood red center with brick red rim. The nose is a lovely mix of floral notes, root vegetables, and red fruit, specifically raspberry and cherry. While the texture is a little chalky and there are some tart notes, this medium-bodied wine unfolds beautifully with tobacco, earth, raspberry, and cherry. The tannins are present on the finish and there is ample acidity to support the fruit. Overall, this is a bigger grenache with structure and tannins that paired well with barbecue.

Age, different time, different mood, whatever, but this was much better than the last bottle I had several years ago. Very nice! Glad I still have some and didn't sell them off a few years ago!

Pop and pour, drank half a bottle on day 1 and half on day 1. Day 2 was slightly worse, definitely grainy and alcoholic. There is a nice rich somewhat simpl nose of dark fruits. The palate is quite thin, with a little fruit and tobacco. I'm not sure if Rudius wines are meant to age.

14.5% alcohol. Dark garnet color with a pink rim. Initially, plummy with a youthful grapey nose and a touch of smoked meat, but with air, lavender and olives mingle with the darker spectrum of grenache fruit. The dark-fruited palate jumps forth with tart, plum skin and blackberry. Structurally, this medium-bodied wine has solid acidity with firm tannins on the finish, likely a byproduct of Jeff's 100% whole cluster treatment. Overall, this spoke more of syrah rather than grenache, but it was quite an enjoyable wine with dark fruit and evident tannins. This paired well with black olive pizza, as the tannins were tamed by the cheese , and the olives paired well with the wine's flavor profile.

I thought this bottle was quite good. Very slight browning to the otherwise medium deep red. Pronounced aromas. Nice texture. Full flavors.
