Started off quite reticent but with a solid decant it opened out and unfurled into a very serious wine. Lots of black fruits, liquorice, earth, animal and minerals. Very good and certainly on the upslope. Sadly my last bottle.

The perfect blend of fruit, especially ripe cherries, and that loamy undertone which I find in the best burgundies and always reminds me of hiking on a rainy day in the Pacific Northwest. Outstanding.
