Popped and poured, then drank over a couple hours. Aroma is dark fruit of blueberry and plum, along with some cocoa. Also had a combo of tar and leather that melded well with the fruit. The taste has a nice balance of acidity and fruit. Fruit is blackberry, but not too heavy. Decent length finish. This all comes together really well, and is in a great spot. Looking forward to see how my remaining 2 bottles fare in the future.
Popped and poured with pasta and drank over the course of 3 hours. Aroma has lead and dark fruit. Taste is blackberry and blueberry along with some charcoal. Fruit is a bit sweeter than I'd like and showing a bit more over the secondary flavors, but this is still very enjoyable. Not really much tannin, and I think this is in a pretty good drinking window now.
Decanted and warmed for about 30 mins, which was fine. Much better than my last bottle 17 mos ago. The alcohol was much less obvious this time and allowed the currant and blackberry fruit to shine. Medium to full bodied with medium minus acidity. Richer and riper than most other Stefania cabs, but has a good balance now.
Had to pop one when I saw the library release....great color, expressive nose of dark fruit, cassis, some pencil shavings...wonderful upfront fruit flavor, clean and juicy, nice vanilla from the oak, little weakness at the end...drinking really well right now.
