OK, this is good. Very good. Spectacularly explosive nose - honey, white flowers, lime, apricots, that petroleum thing you're supposed to look for in some Rieslings, all very impressive. It has a wonderful tension between sweetness and a vibrant acidity, and great weight and density. Long, generous, affectionate, a most exciting, pleasurable wine. Quite splendid. Richly recommended.

Similar to previous note. Just to add that we had this with a pate starter with two friends and our daughter and it stood up nicely to the richness with the acidity providing a good balance together with enough body and depth of flavour. Everyone really liked this despite their various wine preferences.

Annual Bonfire Night tasting. Intense petrol nose with lime and honey. The palate is off dry with the residual sweetness balanced by a seam of acidity and minerality which keeps the opulent fruit in balance. Nice spicy finish. Great value for just over £30 if one considers a village Cote d'Or could be more than that. Drinking really well but should last till the middle of the next decade.

Wondrously perfumed and a lovely example of off-dry Alsace Riesling. Hints of petrol on the nose, but a lot of citrus and tropical fruit - grapefruit, lime, passionfruit, pineapple. There is some acacia honey and jasmine tea mingling with a lovely sharp minerality in the background. Supple texture that has depth, but also leaves your palate feeling cleansed. Finish could be a tad longer, but everything is wonderfully in sync here.

Magnificent. I can't believe I ever doubted it. Ripe, peachy, honeyed, rich; persistent chalky finish that goes on forever. Powerful. The business.
