Still tasting extremely good right now !! Another single clone success. The cork was near perfect after over a decade in the bottle. I consumed this balanced single clone Pinot Noir over two days. Deep ruby color with minor oxidation and great clarity. Aromas of strawberry compote and rose hips; flavors of cranberry and black tea with a pleasant medium finish. Popped and poured, this wine really benefited from gentle oxygen since it was much more soft & integrated on day two. Great fruit with firm acidity made into a very balanced Pinot Noir from the Santa Rita Hill appellation of Santa Barbara County. This Pinot Noir was clearly more age worthy than I expected. Unfortunately, this was the last bottles of this vintage remaining in my cellar. A great winemaking effort from Greg Brewer.

This wine was opened and poured. The aromatics give red cherry, stems, spice and floral notes. Unfortunately at times the stem notes dominate detracting from the wine. The color is a medium to dark ruby. The medium bodied palate shows balance and the tannins make an appearance on the medium length finish. Hopefully a couple of years of bottle age will better balance the stem notes in the overall aromatic profile.
