  • Still tasting extremely good right now !! Another single clone success.
The cork was near perfect after over a decade in the bottle. I consumed this balanced single clone Pinot Noir over two days. Deep ruby color with minor oxidation and great clarity. Aromas of strawberry compote and rose hips; flavors of cranberry and black tea with a pleasant medium finish. Popped and poured, this wine really benefited from gentle oxygen since it was much more soft & integrated on day two. Great fruit with firm acidity made into a very balanced Pinot Noir from the Santa Rita Hill appellation of Santa Barbara County. This Pinot Noir was clearly more age worthy than I expected. Unfortunately, this was the last bottles of this vintage remaining in my cellar. A great winemaking effort from Greg Brewer.

  • This wine was opened and poured. The aromatics give red cherry, stems, spice and floral notes. Unfortunately at times the stem notes dominate detracting from the wine. The color is a medium to dark ruby. The medium bodied palate shows balance and the tannins make an appearance on the medium length finish. Hopefully a couple of years of bottle age will better balance the stem notes in the overall aromatic profile.
