Half bottle. On PnP it's blueberry and vanilla (presumably the latter from the oak). It's got an interesting earthiness about it too. Looks like another real Zin rather than fruit syrup.
Didn't fare as well after being open for a while. Turned more strawberry and leather with a funky aftertaste, maybe something in the herbaceous realm.

Nose: Perfumy with lots of perfect, clean, and bright cherries....little sour boysenberry as well. After it breathes, the perfumy really comes out, and you get floral notes. Seriously, the mouthfeel is GREAT and hard to match because it is unique. You taste very juicy red fruits, and the tannins are integrated, and so it is a great food wine. Light oak, and you almost get some acidity (which is the balanced tannins I believe) on the palate...it is really well balanced and a long delicious finish...a Zin that you remember:) The more it opens up, the more I get the black pepper that others have mentioned.

Dark fruit, blueberries, mouth full of pepper, bulk tobacco. Jammy fruit. Well balanced acidity, smokey oak on the finish.

Juicy berries and some pepper spice, nice fruit with a smooth finish and beautiful mouthful. Very enjoyable.
