The wine was still quite youthful as it was poured into the glass. A clear, deep red hue was a welcome sight. The nose was medium intensity true Merlot as were the flavors on the palate. The wine was mature but not tired. Now is the time to enjoy this wine.

Dark in color, big in flavors. The wine was discribed by several diners at the table as big and mouthfilling, having many rustic flavors and having lots of wood and tannin. Served with spicey bergers it went down well.

Solid red fruit and some chocolate but the finish is masked by oak. Still in all a solid wine at $12 that shows what is possible at that price in WA. Not as complex or interesting as the DW Ruah which is a secret joy at $12 in QPR terms.

Pop n pour. Showed fairly well on day one with a few notes of varietal typicity. Bland and uninteresting on day 2, with vanilla, oak, blueberry sauce and more vanilla. Could have been any number of things from any number of places (none of them memorable).
