Slow oxed for a couple hours. Dark ruby in color, at first it tasted funky but as it opened up everything got in place nicely. Nose of plums, oak, dried mushrooms. Very complex. Very nice acidity, mellow tannins - thi sis in a great spot now - lots of plums and blackcurrants, tobacco, clove, then oak on the long ending. Another great example of aged Australian Shiraz - drink now or in the next 5-10 years - if stored well, this could definitely develop more. Very giving, very enjoyable!

Brought this to a wine dinner at Chao Shan Cuisine last night with a group of wine drinkers. Theme of the evening: Australia Shiraz.
We had liver rolls, prawn balls, suckling pig, sio bee, oyster pancake, chives with scallops, braised goose with beancurd, har lok, chestnut chicken, cai po kway teow, orh nee and chestnut pancake with ground peanuts.
Decanted for a hour before drinking. Dark purple in colour with a tinge of crimson. In a peaceful state at the moment, cool notes of mocha, dark chocolate, old leather, tobacco, ripe plums and a slight touch of eucalyptus.
A serious wine which is charming, with a long, lingering finish. Very well balanced and harmonious.

PnP, quite mature, beginning to debelop some secondary notes and the fruit has moved more to the background compared to my last tasting a few years ago.

Outstanding Aussie Shiraz. Drank 2 nights ago. PnP. At opening, powerful nose that fills the room. Concentrated, complex dark fruits with a hint of heat at the end. Wonderful.
