  Deep golden color, beautiful nose subdued fruit with touch of mineral, then an explosion on the palate, honey, citrus-marmalade fruits, vanilla and frangipan. Long long finish, outstanding, we were all amazed at the beauty on this bottle nearly 30 years old.

  Tasted blind with BBC at Mr. Willis Shanghai. Deep golden color, odd broken garlic hint on the nose which stayed with the wine, had me worried but in the mouth, round honeyed caramel flavours with well balanced acidity, slightly buttery as it opened up, flavour lasted very long time. Others had wine as old rhone or v old burgundy. Didn't exhibit typical chardonnay flavours. Very enjoyable.
