GHW, Gamla, Brut NV (2009 release): 50% Chardonnay-50% Pinot Noir, classic Champagne style blend, aged for a bit over a year on the tirage yeast. Bright gold in color with medium bubbles, on the nose yeast and toasted bread, baked apples, a touch of lemongrass and a hint of vanilla. Medium-bodied with fine medium-lasting bubbles, a bit sweet, some lemon curd, caramelized apples, medium acidity, moderately long, yeasty finish. Well-made but a bit too much on the sweet side for me.

Fresh and lively. Citrus is dominating. Bone dry. Clean but slightly short finish.
