Very nice after 45 minutes...needed to open up. Lots of drying tannins, clove/spices/dark notes that (initially) were not all that pleasing; something was missing that finally helped resolve this wine (air!). Well balanced for a 15.2%-er. Only one more, alas.

Still fruity after 7 years. This was a very enjoyable Pinot Noir. Smooth cherries and raspberries with that RRV spiciness that I just love. Sorry I gave my other bottle away as a gift.

Earthy barnyard aromas have disappeared leaving more cinnamon and wet clay. slight effervescence which surprised me. Light body and complexly rich flavors with a bit of peychauds bitters, strawberry and clove, blueberry and sandalwood. Pepper on the very long finish.

Gamey or musky nose with some raspberries poking through. Maybe something rich smelling like leather. Ripe fruit flavors, cherry. Velvety mouth feel. Long finish.

Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (Jeffrey's Office - Corona Del Mar, CA): Rich aromas of black cherries, cinnamon, and clove. Opulent on the palate with sweet notes of plum, blueberries, and cherry liqueur. Still has a long life ahead of it. 89-90 points.
