Opened and poured... Was not happy at first, but after 45-60 minutes, it settles down and was very nice. Good burgundy color, nose of earth, light fruit; no alcohol on nose, which I liked. Tobacco, cherry, some plumb; very light and easy drinking. Pleasant surprise as I thought it may have gone over...perhaps the earlier comments/tasting notes were just to soon.

This wine seems to be a third Pinot and a mix of other tastes, some of which were very harsh. I opened it 1 hour before which didn't help. We did have several nice Pinots that day.

Aerated to soften the palate nicely, but I wasn't quite as enthusiastic on this bottle. Slightly harsh tannins and I suspect that there's some syrah blended in here.

Fruity nose is slightly muted and hot (14.5% alcohol) on opening. The palate has ripe black and sour cherry, black tea, and spice with bright acidity. The finish has some staying power but it's slightly coarse. As the bottle was open for several hours, the wine began to offer some more earthy aromas and flavors. Although the wine is slightly boozy and ripe up front, it's not overdone. I'm guessing no new oak or perhaps aged in steel with oak staves. Still may benefit from short-term bottle age.
