  • Nose is amazing; deep, pure, super-fragrant blackish-red fruits with a dose of cassis and cardamom. Palate shows phenomenal depth od structure. Maybe too much? Hmmmm.
Black raspberry, blackberries and currants control the ride here. Dense and bright all at once with a bit of gobbiness (still). The fragrance is the key on this. Balance is decant an tannins big and near bruiser-like. Decant finish rounds this one out well. Make no mistake, this certainly is not your fathers Cabernet. Nor is it a coco milkshake many today eschew. It is pure, load and true, somewhat perfect for an un-perfect dreary Saturday afternoon. Extra point for that alone.
