Primary and strong floral notes in the nose followed by secondary honeysuckle and lychee. The medium finish was strongest in mid palate and was among the driest gewurztraminer varietals I've ever tasted with strong acidity that balances the typical fruit of gewurz. Although not an overly spectacular example of this grape, a strong one and an excellent showing from New York State and the US in general. Great QPR and proves that Finger Lakes whites have a place among the great white varietals from the US.

City Line Church Wine Tasting 2009 (White Stone Gallery, Manayunk (Philadelphia, PA)): nice example of gewurztraminer -- not as spicy as i recall, but with a really strong aroma of lychee and some floral notes -- a beautiful nose. A little bit flat in the midpalate, and shortish finish. A great value at the $10 discounted price -- even at full list quite nice.

Not really that found of this wine. Very peppery and very flat on the fruit side.

Clear straw colour; high acidity; high alcohol; nose of lychee; spicy with melon and lychee
