High amplitude in every way, this wine pretty much overwhelms the senses. The O'Shea Scarborough over-the-top acidity is on full display here. Same with the candied fruit character. It was enjoyable to a certain extent, but this is not my style of choice.

nothing wrong with this wine, well made, well conceived and executed, just nothing special. lacked any sort of nuance or finesse. I would say that if you are buying out of area, that one of the mass producers top labels would outshine this wine...easily.

Teseted on well-aired bottle, 4+ hrs. Alluring nose with a rich bouquet of flowers and cut grass. In the mouth savory strong warm pulse of fruit, dried leaves or earth, and some volatiles lurking in the background. Finishes of bitter wood notes and fruit. Dryish. Body medium, acid medium, tannin medium.

Ok, this time out of Riedel's Bordeaux glass. Tabacco and blueberries. Maybe some "tar" but I prefer tobacco and blueberries. I'd be willing to go with menthol too. Palate is pretty darn fierce in its acity. This is not the gentlest of creatures.
