  • mid-neck level, tight but crumbly cork, deep buttery yellow colour, shows some age, soft, rich, buttery with classic Meursault nuttiness and some ripe orange/citrus character on the nose, lovely complexity in the empty glass, palate soft, characterful with good depth of flavour, dry finish with touch of hardness, restrained acidity, nice and with good typicity, character and complexity but does show some age and towards the limit of the optimal drinking window, drink up and enjoy, went superbly with Quenelles de Brochet (from Sibilia, Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse) in Béchamel sauce

  • perfect level, good very tight cork, not decanted, pale lemon colour, very fine, elegant, nutty, buttery Chardonnay character in the background, not dominating, on the palate also fine, restrained, but still with real depth and power, quite dry, great length and persistence, aftertaste goes on for minutes, excellent Meursault, with the typical character, a terroir wine, at its peak, held its own with the quite strongly flavoured meal, also lovely when savoured alone after but still it’s power makes it a better food wine, for the quality and unique character worth its price

  • tight but good cork, colour a bit deeper Bernstein-yellow than the last bottle indicating more maturity, absolutely classic nutty Meursault nose, aged white Burgundy character on the palate, power, distinctly dry, good length and persistence, more advanced than the last bottle, this one certainly at the limit of the drinking window, I decanted this for an hour which in retrospect was not ideal, next time straight from the bottle, has the structure and power to be an excellent accompaniment to a special dinner, characterful wine with the character justifying the price

  • Had this bottle again. This time it showed much more advanced, not oxidative but age clearly showing with some nutty elements overlaying the lemon an buttery elements. Solid but could not reach previous heights. That is white burg, no two bottles the same...

  • crumbly cork, had to fall back on Ah So for extraction, good level, light buttery colour, classic fine nutty-buttery-mineraly-lemony Meursault nose, concentrated but with real finesse, very nice, quite powerful on the palate, somewhat lean and hard on the finish with real acidic/ tannic bite, still fresh and crisp, excellent food wine, cut the fattiness of Poulet de Bresse very well, good balance from front to finish, stable, if anything got better with time open
