Drank this at Kai Garden with my wine mates. Theme of the dinner: Wines that start with T.
Deep purple in colour. Notes of red berries, coupled with crushed tobacco, wet rocks, dark spices, and pencil shavings. A claret with reasonable complexity and satisfactory depth for a 2nd wine.
One simply has to wonder: just how good is the Château Pichon-Longueville Baron?

Well, it appears as though my bottle was better than those below and that’s a good thing. The nose is open and expressive with fresh brewed coffee and some green notes. The palate still has some fruit and tannic structure and a satisfying finish. Not a bad bottle at all but our experience was different from those below. We really enjoyed this Bordeaux and it popped with food

PnP 93/94. Very impressive solid and chewy minerally decently oaked black fruits with very good length. Drink in next 2-5 years.
13%.
