  I think I got the drinking window right here. Not a mature tasting wine (in the traditional sense) but rather a wine that is well aged and wouldn't seem to improve further. Just starting to brown but the red berry colour largely intact. Mature berry fruits on the nose with mild pong but there is clearly a layer of sweeter fruits. Palate follows closely; mild pong, sweeter merlot fruits, along with some settled blackberry. A zingy acidic streak does block the fruit a touch. All in all a pleasant wine and looking good for the age.
