  • Final bottle from a half case purchased at the estate in 2010. Medium straw yellow colour. There is a certain dichotomy between the rich and mature nose and the tight and youthful palate. Concentrated without excess weight (12.5% ABV). Aromatically the wine veers from spices, earth and honey on the nose to lime and lemon on the finish, even if there are some floral notes to bind it all together. It's a powerful and masculine wine, but not exactly a model of harmony.

  • Fifth bottle from a half case purchased at the estate in 2010. After a disappointing bottle in 2018, this is a perfect one. Vibrant colour, light for age; complete and lively nose, earth and and almost salty minerality, floral lift, vestiges of fruit with a tropical edge, some waxy bottle-age; energetic and tense palate without any excess weight (12.5% ABV), firm acidity, good density, grippy grapefruit bitters; relatively dry finish with very good length. Completely ready.

  • Glass: Zalto Universal
Drunk over two days. Clear, golden, glowing color. Clean, medium intense, developing nose. Very dense and deep, smoky notes, lots of mineral, some herbs, floral notes, orange zests and fruit.
Dry, medium+, racy and almost tart acidity. On the palate also very dense and deep. Good tension and grip, some yellow fruit completely integrated in a wall of smoky and mineral flavors. Lots of extract. Seems dark and masculine to me. Very long and complex. 93-94

  • I am not really sure that this bottle is in perfect condition. The basic character is recognisable, but it is not nearly as exciting as previous bottles, and the palate seems a bit rough. And the colour is quite deep too. Citrus zest, earth, apple, marries concentration and freshness, but it feels clenched and tight rather than relaxed and flowing.
