I love Woodenhead. They are always bright and real. This lovely wine from Humbolt is bright and real, with pretty dark red colored fruit, with very light body. There is pretty cherry, earth tones, and some gravelly roadbed perceptions, along with some green sensations that remind me of a grass field in the mountains.

Red fruit bouquet with spice notes. Cherry cola and fig palate framed by good acidity and nice tannic structure. Paired with chicken and waffles, the wine was an excellent complement to the buttermilk brined fried chicken.

Bottle not as good as the previous one. It wasn't an off bottle in my estimation but it didn't have any of the characteristics that make a wine distinct. It was clearly a pinot but seemed to have lost a little terroir definition that I remember from the tasting room or the other bottle.
