Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 85 points

  • A bright but opaque ruby/violet in color, this wine reveals an intense nose of violets, black pepper reminiscent of older Grenache. Big and juicy on the palate with ripe red fruits and lots of pepper/spice notes. Drying on the finish, this seems like a nice CDR to drink over the next 12-18 months.

With a few hours of air, this wine took on a more chemical/medicinal note on the nose with notes of acetone and cough syrup, and the finish took on a greater, more bitter bite. The fruit on the palate is stilly pretty solid but drying. This might have to get downgraded a few points.
