Dark ruby color mixed red fruit, and faint oak aromas. On the palate, it's medium-bodied with well integrated fine grained tannins, good acidity, and raspberry, tart cherry, cranberry, and vanilla flavors. Medium finish. 80% Sangiovese, 20% Merlot 15.2% alcohol

Murky garnet with medium viscosity in the glass. Prune, pepper, red fruit, cherry skin and secondary tobacco and wet asphalt on the nose. Cranberry, raspberry, cherry and bramble on the palate. Good structure from the bright acidity and minerality. Grippy tannin that becomes dusty on the medium finish. Not a huge fan of these varietals, but this one shows nicely on the table.

Tasted immediately after opening. Garnet color. Tight nose of violets, red fruit and minerals. Cherry, touch of oak and a tart, brief finish. Medium to light body. Not much happening in the mid-palate. Lively fruit makes it pleasant but nothing special. Tried this initially at the winery tasting room and remembered it as being better. This bottle, in fact, was brought back from that trip. We did our best to treat it carefully but it is possible that the journey did it no favors.

Garnet with medium viscosity and visible sediment in the glass. Closed nose of oak, cherry and earth. Round red fruit and oak on palate with smokey tannin. Medium finish. An 85 alone, though came into its own (good structure) with various pairings. Very good food wine.

Very enjoyable --- as it should have been @ over $25 / bottle -- sangiovese blend had unique features & style. Recommend this winery.
