  Dinner at Iggys. Drank alongside the Ente Meursault 2009. This was a step up from the straight village. Very exotic and wild nose of smoke, flint, gunpowder, popcorn. Lots of fresh fruit - lemon, lime, Chinese pear and pineapple. On the palate, like the 2009, there was a really perfect balance of good fruit and acid. A touch more complex, this was drinking really well.

  Youthful looking in the glass, the purity of this beautiful wine is quite astonishing, this was pure pleasure, perfectionism seemingly tangible, remarkable and shockingly easy to enjoy.

  This is a brilliant Meursault. Still young. A villages wine, but from 100+ year old vines. Villages is the classification, but this beats most premier crus and many grand crus hands down. Very pure with laser-like precision / focus. Great minerality and acidity. Very elegant and classy, needless to say I liked this tremendously. Easily up there with more revered names such as Coche, Roulot and Lafon....
