Quick after-work drink at UE Straits. Aired in decanter for about 2 hours. Last glass was the best. Appearance is clear, deep intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of iron-earth minerality, sweet red fruit and mild licorice. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, high alcohol, medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavor intensity, with flavours of iron-earth minerals, sweet cranberries, plums, cherries, licorice, and spice. Long finish. Outstanding quality Barbera from Braida. Slightly more balanced and complex than the 2010 I tried before. Drink now with proper decant. Will improve with further ageing. I would like to try this again in 4-5 years' time.

Very good. Definitely at it's peak now. This is much better than the majority of Barolos I've tried so far.
