  • Fully mature, nice version of dry Riesling with stony minerality, a gingery spiciness, a little hint of petrol. B/B+

  • This followed the last-bottle-of-the-stash rule: it was lovely and showed much fresher than the previous bottle. Go figure. It had lovely white floral overtones, considerable depth, and some cracked white pepper. Certainly not a top vintage by any stretch, and, to pick nits, a bit diffuse in the middle, this version hit the spot nevertheless.

  • Time to drink up if you haven't. I wouldn't say it's fallen apart, but it is definitely on the way down. Having said that, it reached a decent height, even in this difficult year, so the end result is still a really nice bottle. It's pretty full, and manages an interesting combination of richness and minerality, starting to wear a bit around the edges.

  • This opened with nice aromatics but a compressed, clipped finish and a bit of a gap in the mid-palate. So I decanted and after an hour or so it was terrific. It took on a honeyed richness while remaining completely dry, with rocks, minerals, mountain-stream-water ... all that good stuff. This is a terrific bottle. Hands off for another few years.
