  • Golden straw. Crisp, mineral flavour. Smells of wine - relief. Gooseberries. Floral finish.

  • Nose: Melon, spices, smoke, toasty wood, and a hint of ripe pears. Palate: Noticeable oak influence gives this chablis a decidedly un-chablis like profile. Cedar, gravel, meyer lemon, spiciness on the attack. More spiciness and some heat develop on the mid-palate. Finish is where more oak is apparent with hints of buttered popcorn. If I had drank this blind, I would never have guessed chablis. Nevertheless, this was a tasty wine.
