Two years ago I thought there was no profit in further aging this wine. Oops. Where a couple of years ago it seemed to be heading to the overly austere, last night it had developed additional richness/depth from bottle age, while retaining most of its lemony fruit and taking on a mature apple tone as well. There's tons of minerality on the back end, and a few grams of rs lingering around for balance. Just delicious!

9 years on this wine is a beautiful golden color, with lemon rind and warm stone aromas. It's brightly acidic, focused, lemony and finishes with a steely tartness that demands attention and food! Fans of the austere might age this a bit longer, but I don't think there will be profit in time.

Fairly deep, bright gold; great aromatics, green apple, pear, hint of something faintly herbal, almost minty. Med-bodied, very crisp and lively on the palate with tons of minerality, more of the green apple, a little bit of peach-piton the finish. But notable mainly for the verve and minerality. Nice stuff.
