I was surprised how fruit forward and accessible this was. Ripe black cherry on the nose with a little earthiness in the background. Initially there was some heat but this blew off with some air. Dense fruit forward palate, no detectable tannin and enough acidity to hold things together. Medium finish, rather one dimensional with mostly cherry and slight licorice flavors, and a little mineral in the background. Good Pinot, but I'm sure I need to pay Burgundy prices for this style and complexity, as Oregon Pinots do just fine.
