  • Decanted 3 hrs. what a surprise and perhaps the best red I have had from South America. Modern, but the dark cherry and framboise fruit have great depth of ripeness, not to mention great energy and cut. A very skilled use of high end French oak ( I assume ) as it imparts a slight gloss but never stands out or distracts from the overall experience. Some tannic punch on the finish but like the oak, it's well suited and in balance with the overall package. Should well for at least 5 years, perhaps 10. Great back story here too as this estate is owned by the grandaughter of the military leader who led Brazil's revolution in 1932.

  • The wine is black in the glass. The nose is packed with power, mocha, menthol, but also a lot of dark fruits. This is a powerhouse wine. So much intensity and energy with loads of fruits, berries, mocha, chocolate, licorice and anise. Lovely, sexy and full bodied.
