It's a big wine without the fruitiness that you would expect, which is a tough thing to do. It's very good, I can't criticize it much as long as it given time to open. In this case, opened and then recorked for a day. I would have a go at his other wines, particularly the Kick Ranch Syrah.

Not as jammy as a Lodi Zin but I liked that, nicely balanced and well integrated throughout, had with a perfect Boston Butt barbecue, life doesn't get any better. I really enjoy this winemaker
