  • Opened up to muted aromas of sour plum. It poured out a brick color with a little more sentiment than I expected. Light flavors of plum, earth and leather. There was little peppery flavors on this relatively dry wine. Weak tannins would suggest its time to finish off this vintage. If was enjoyable but lacked any complexity. Good grape juice.

  • Much the same as last years Review. This one had a little more sentiment than I would like. Well paired with a lasagna. Very enjoyable

  • This 2008 presented a deep ruby red with a soft and subtle, yet inviting fruit filled aroma. The flavours of raspberry, chocolate, coffee and a hint of pepper where present and deliciously subtle. Although tannins were present they were very well balanced and very enjoyable. This mild body nicely balanced semi-sweet wine finished with a pleasant and lingering finish. Paired with leftover duck (from last night) Amazing.

  • Enjoyable, but lacking some depth and complexity. A good quaffer...

  • Open the bottle for New Year eve, let it rest for half an hour and pour a little in large glass and waited again a little letting heavy magic flavor of beautiful Rhône wine fill the volume of my little crystal wine palace. It goes slowly into your lung, and then, through tiny capillaries, into blood stream filling the body and finally reaching the brain. The first sip starts flourishing somewhere down the tongue revealing real deep complexity, layer after layer. At first finish feels too oaky, but after additional aeration it turned into everlasting bouquet... Not floral, no, with that kind of complexity imagination goes wild whispering flavors of hundred years old memories of unseen former wild strawberry fields overpowered by Provence grass and unknown herbs and hint of smoke. With even more aeration it becomes more herbal and a little more simplistic and direct. Very, very good wine, which develops as you drink it.
