| Tasted by bensonfan9 on 10/25/2009 & rated 96 points: What an incredible surprise from this small production winery. The winery only produces about 2200 cases of wine each year. The wine is rich dark ruby in color giving an insight to the concentration. With just the few drops that were poured into the tasting room glass you could get a full spectrum of flavors and aromas. On the nose you get hints of bright fruit, a chocolate dust, cherries, and mocha. On the palate you get a full bodied brilliant fruit and dark chocolate taste. The finish was long lasting and stayed with me till I arrived at the next winery. (202 views) | |
| Tasted by orkmork on 10/24/2009 & rated 96 points: I first sampled this wine at the Hickory Creek tasting room and was blown away by the overall complexity and flavor it had to offer. Bright cherries with hints of chocolate and mocha on the nose. Brilliant fruit flavor dance across the palate and mix well with the hints of spice and dark chocolate flavors. The finish is silky smooth and stays with you long after you head to the bottle for another glass. What a find! (156 views) |
